In 1945, Jerry Adelman got some advice from his physician.

“Jerry, move to a warmer climate for your health. Get away from these brutal Chicago winters.”

Jerry, a recent WW II veteran, packed up his new bride, Helen. They headed south to Miami. He landed a job with a foodservice equipment and supply dealership. His clientele included many famous South Florida restaurants, such as Wolfie Cohen’s Rascal House, the Pub’s Roney and Newport, the Hasta, and Pumpernick’s.
